"Adam was intimate with his wife Eve, and she conceived and gave birth to Cain. She said, "I have had a male child with the LORD's help." Then she also gave birth to his brother Abel. Now Abel became a shepherd of flocks, but Cain worked the ground. In the course of time Cain presented some of the land's produce as an offering to the LORD. And Abel also presented an offering -- some of the firstborn of his flock and their fat portions. The LORD had regard for Abel and his offering, but He did not have regard for Cain and his offering. Cain was furious, and he looked despondent." [Gen 4:1-5 HCSB] Observations Who did what?  Adam and Eve conceived children.  Eve gave birth to two sons.  Eve considered God her helper in the birthing process.  Cain became a farmer.  Abel became a shepherd.  Cain presented produce from the land as an offering to God Abel presented some of the firstborn of his flock and their fat portions as an offering to God. ...

"Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden at the time of the evening breeze, and they hid themselves from the LORD God among the trees of the garden. So the LORD God called out to the man and said to him, "Where are you? "  And he said, "I heard You in the garden and I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid."  Then He asked, "Who told you that you were naked? Did you eat from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from? "The LORD God took the man and placed him in the garden of Eden to work it and watch over it. And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree of the garden, but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for on the day you eat from it, you will certainly die." [Gen 2:4-14 HCSB] "These are the records of the heavens and the earth, concerning their creation at the time that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens. Genesis 2: 1-3 Observations: What choices did God make?  God chose to rest God chose to declare the day of resting "holy"  God chose to bless a day What choices could God have made?  God could have chosen not to rest.  God could have chosen to do some more creating.  God could have chosen to say "in your face, Satan, let me see you create something this great!" God could have chosen to just rest and not bless the seventh day or declare it holy.  God could have chosen to further define exactly what activities he means by "rest"  God could have chosen not to call his creation work "work." He could have called it "play," ...

"Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness. They will rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the livestock, all the earth, and the creatures that crawl on the earth."  So God created man in His own image; He created him in the image of God; He created them male and female.  God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it.
